New Zealand has land size of 267,710 km2 and a total population of 5.12 million people. New Zealand residence programme was last set in 2018 with planning range of 50,000 - 60,000 residence visas for 18 month period from 1st July 2018 to 31 December 2019 with 51% for Business & Skilled visa, 38% for Family visa and 11% for International & Humanitarian visa streams. Currently, the entire immigration policy, objectives and whether immigration is beneficial for the economy is under review with major changes in skilled migration, work visas and parent visa categories expected in next few months.
