TEMPORARY GRADUATE VISA
Temporary Work Visa is for international graduates who have completed a relevant Australian qualification. This provides an opportunity to fresh graduates, to gain valuable and well-regarded international work experience. Australian qualifications and temporary work experience post-study gained under this visa, also strengthens students prospects of securing permanent residence.
Graduate Work Stream
Graduate work visa is valid for 18 months and to qualify, students:
- Must meet Australian study requirements;
- Nominate an occupation on relevant skill shortage list that closely relates to that qualification;
- Have skills assessment for the nominated occupation;
- Meet all of the policy requirements.
Post-Study Work Stream
Work visa under post-study work visa stream is valid for 2 to 4 years (Bachelor and Masters by Coursework 2 years, Masters by Research 3 years, Doctoral 4 years) and students:
- Should have recently completed Bachelor Degree, Masters or Doctoral Degree;
- Must meet Australian study requirements; and
- Must meet all of the policy requirements.
Skilled - Recognised Graduate Visa
Skilled recognised graduate visa is valid for 18 months and to qualify students must:
- Have completed eligible Engineering qualification from a recognised institution in the past two years;
- Be Aged 30 years or under;
- Not have previously held this visa or Graduate Work Visa; and
- Meet all of the policy requirements.
